The terms on which this office reserves a departure in your name

It does business under the name Third Coast Dispatch, and the two names mean one company with one desk behind them. Arranging a trip and running one are separate jobs, and this company does only the first. It takes your request, puts it to the company that operates the departure, and places the reservation once you agree to a stated figure on a stated date. That company supplies the guides, vehicles, rooms and running order, holds the licences the work requires, and answers for how the week goes.

Your own carriage to the start point is your own arrangement, made wherever you prefer to make it. This office arranges no carriage by air and none over water, holds no contract with any carrier, and sells no seat, ticket or berth of any description. Where a departure crosses open water, that passage sits inside the operating company's own licence and is billed by that company.

Every figure printed on this site is a starting figure, built on assumptions stated wherever it appears: the earliest workable start inside the window, two people sharing one room, the bed standard the operator runs as its base, and the ground transport the itinerary needs. Yours is assembled against your dates, your party and your room, and the figure that binds is the one written into your quote and repeated on the operator's invoice.

A quote carries the day it was built and the day it stops standing, ordinarily a week or two later, because the rooms behind it are being asked for by other people while you think. After that day the operator is free to reprice, and a revised figure comes back with the reason for the change attached to it. Nothing is held in your name while a quote is open.

The operating company's booking conditions govern the trip: what is included, when it wants paying, what it does if it moves a date, and what happens if you stand a reservation down. Those conditions reach you in writing before you accept, and accepting the quote accepts them. Dates and figures move, so a row can be out of date between the day it was checked and the day you read it. If something reads stale, a date, a figure, a length, a list of what the operator includes, send it to corrections@thirdcoastdispatch.com. It is checked against the operating company's current paperwork, corrected on the row it appears in, and whoever reported it is written back to within one business day.

This site may be unreachable at times, through work being done on it or a failure at the company hosting it, and no promise of uninterrupted access is made. This office answers for its own work: putting your request accurately, reporting back what the operator said in the words the operator used, and placing only the reservation you agreed to. It does not answer for the acts or omissions of the operating company or of any independent supplier standing behind it. Where liability does rest here, it is limited to the commission received on that reservation, and nothing in these clauses sets aside a liability that the law of Missouri does not permit to be set aside.

Nothing physical is sent to you, so there is no returns route to describe and no shipping arrangement to explain. A confirmation is an email carrying your date on it. A reservation given up is a matter for the operating company's conditions, since this office has taken nothing from you that it could give back.

This site is here to be read and used to ask for a departure. The text, the photographs and the arrangement of the board belong to Third Coast Dispatch Bookings LLC; copying them onto another site, or pulling the board down with a script, is not use of the kind permitted here. The form is for genuine requests, and one sent for any other purpose is closed without a reply.

This office answers and starts nothing. It places no outgoing call, sends no text message and keeps no mailing list, so a number or an address given on a form is used to answer that request and for nothing else. Anyone who contacts you first in this company's name, on a request you never sent, is not from this office.

These clauses are governed by the law of Missouri, and any dispute arising out of them belongs to the courts sitting in that state. Should a court find one clause unenforceable, that clause comes out and the remainder stand exactly as written.

These terms are revised as the business changes, and the version standing on this page on the day your request arrives is the version that governs it. A revision is dated at the foot of this page. Anything already reserved in your name goes on under the clauses that were in force on the day it was placed.
